You have probably heard a lot of mixed messages about water requirements e.g.

“two litters per day”,

“eight glasses per day”,

“drink only when you’re thirsty”.

The truth is that water requirements vary considerably from person to person and there is insufficient evidence to set an exact figure. However, it is near make a rough estimate of your client’s requirements.

If you do not drink enough water, you will eventually. Experience dehydration. Dehydration is defined as the excessive loss of water from the body and it occurs when people lose more water than they are taking in.

lose of water from bodies through:

  • Urination

  • Diarrhea

  • Breathing out

  • Vomiting

  • Sweating

carry a litter bottle of water with you and try to drink it all by the end of the day to increase your drinking to the recommended level. weight yourselves before and after a workout session to find out how much fluid you have lost during the session. Remind that any decrease in their weight after the workout session is just water loss, and that they need to drink sufficient water to replace it.
